Am I the only one getting stoked for the holidays? It really is my favorite time of the year! It’s also some of the most stressful times of the year, but I’m trying to soak up the moments while still keeping my head above water and taking care of all the many things I need to take care of.

One of which is baking! Here’s my favorite Molasses Cookies recipe! There’s just something about them that scream Christmas for our little family so I thought I’d share it with you!

1 Cup Sugar

3/4 Cup Butter

1 Egg

1/4 Cup Molasses

2 Cup Flour

2 tsp. Baking Soda

1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

1 tsp. Ground Ginger

1 tsp. Ground Cloves

1/2 tsp. Salt

Cinnamon Sugar for rolling cookie dough balls

3/4 Cup Sugar

1-2 tsp. Cinnamon

Cream together sugar and butter until smooth. Add egg and beat until light and fluffy. Add molasses and beat some more. 🙂

Throw in dry ingredients and mix together.

Optional: Refrigerate dough for a few hours, but I’m never patient enough to complete this part and always go straight to baking.

Roll dough balls in cinnamon sugar then bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. They should still be relatively soft and will slightly harden once cooled.

I may or may not be challenging myself during this season to keep my sugar addiction in check and show a little self-control during the holidays (with cheat days, obviously). But these cookies still make the cut every time! I just can’t say no to them!

I hope you all take the time to soak up the moments with your family and maybe even bake some cookies with your loved ones!

Happy Holidays!!
